Drew Chitiea, Chief Pilot

Our founder and Chief Pilot was introduced to aviation at age eight when he and his family were airlifted in a DeHaviland Rapide [twin-engine cabin biplane]from a sheep meadow in New Zealand. Served the country from 1969 to 1971 winning (!) a Purple Heart then earning his wings in 1972. Commencing an aviation career in 1983 he now is an ATP-rated pilot holding all fixed-wing Ground and Flight Instructor ratings. His career includes corporate aviation, time served as a 121 instructor and extensive experience in vintage & experimental airplanes. To date he has logged flight time in over 200 make/models of airplanes.

He is an FAA Gold Seal Instructor and FAASTeam member, has been designated a Master CFI for over 20 years and in 2019 was honored as a “Master CFI – Emeritus”. He currently serves as an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner out of the Denver FSDO and is a Check Airman for both Petersen AFB and the USAF Academy.

Our Staff

Our stable of pilot-instructors have served in all services and civilian employ commanding a wide range of service and GA airplanes [single-engine & twins], reciprocating engines, turbo-props and fire-breathers. Once your abilities and goals are defined, you will be placed with the expert best qualified to help you achieve your goals.
